How WWE’s Raw Numbers Stack Up After 1 Week On Netflix
WWE touted the success of Raw’s debut on Netflix but now new numbers have shed light on just how well that show did with viewers.
John Cena kicked off his farewell tour on Netflix’s first Raw as he announced not only that he was entering the Royal Rumble but also that he was going to win the whole thing to claim a title shot at WrestleMania.
Cena’s old rival The Rock was on hand to acknowledge the undisputed Tribal Chief after Roman Reigns battled Solo Sikoa. The Undertaker even made a shock appearance to endorse a new champion after a huge title change took place on the show before CM Punk stunned Seth Rollins in the main event to defeat his hated rival.
Rhea Ripley recaptured the Women’s World Title on the show as she took her revenge on Dominik Mysterio as a new era dawned on the company.
WWE boasted about the viewership after the show but it seems there’s now an updated number one week after the fact that gives more insight into how successful it was.
WWE Add Extra Million Views For Raw
In new numbers released by Netflix, the streaming giant revealed that the first Raw on the platform has now been watched 5.9 million times. That means between the 6 and 12 of January, the show added an extra million views. Netflix’s definition of views is “total view hours for the program divided by the runtime.”
The show is ranked fourth globally among English language shows trailing “Jerry Springer: Fights, Camera, Action” (7.7 million views), “American Primeval” (10.4 million views), and Missing You” (15.2 million views). These numbers are all dwarfed by Squid Game season two which is the highest-viewed show on Netflix clocking up a massive 26.3 million views.
