How WWE Felt About Tiffany Stratton-Charlotte Flair Segments Following Controversy

There were multiple segments for Tiffany Stratton and Charlotte Flair on WWE SmackDown as the duo builds to their WrestleMania 41 clash.

The “Face to Face” segment between WWE Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton and her WrestleMania 41 opponent Charlotte Flair certainly got people talking. The reason people talked about it so much is because the two women went off script so much that they got backstage heat because of what they said.

Since Flair was booed so heavily by the Chicago crowd on WWE SmackDown on April 4th, she was thrown off and decided to mock Stratton’s “squeaky voice.” Stratton blasted Flair in return by mentioning that Flair was alone outside the ring and also 0-3, which was a reference to Flair’s three divorces.

When Stratton felt she had said enough, Flair decided to get in a final word, claiming that Stratton’s boyfriend Ludwig Kaiser was in Flair’s DMs (direct messages).

There were two segments on SmackDown in Seattle, including Flair attacking Stratton in the parking lot before the show. That wasn’t shown by WWE on television, but they directed fans to seek it out on social media.

Later in the show, Tiffany Stratton beat Roxanne Perez in a competitive match. After the match, Charlotte Flair pulled Stratton out of the ring. Flair threw Stratton into the barricade, ring post and over the commentary table before announcer Wade Barrett got in Flair’s face to calm her down.

WWE Was Pleased With The Follow-Up To Tiffany Stratton-Charlotte Flair Chaos

It has been reported by Fightful Select that while the previous week’s segment was “off the rails” in many ways, the April 11th segments between Stratton and Ripley made WWE officials happy. The company felt that the two women responded and worked well together following the uncomfortable segment one week prior.

The physical altercation that Flair and Stratton engaged in was considered very stiff. The company also felt that everything ended up okay with WWE Producers and backstage personnel commenting that it went as planned, so there were no issues.

Tiffany Stratton will defend the WWE Women’s Title against Charlotte Flair on Saturday, April 19th, at WrestleMania Night 1 inside Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.
