How To Impress WWE At Crucial Tryouts

Triple H WWE tryout

One WWE star has lifted the lid on how to impress at the company’s tryouts.

WWE tryouts see men and women from the world of college sports, entertainment, modelling, and independent wrestling come together to be put through their paces to see who could make it as a WWE Superstar.

Tryouts from earlier in 2025 in Europe have seen the company pick up several names as it looks to expand its roster with the best talent available.

But in this highly competitive field, how does anyone stand out from the pack?

Chelsea Green Offers WWE Tryout Advice

Speaking on WWE Recruit’s Instagram, former WWE Women’s North American Champion Chelsea Green, a veteran of tryouts, offered some advice on how to impress:

So I’ve done four of these now, I think I’m a master of tryouts. It’s just the ‘je ne sais quoi’ of someone. It’s not necessarily the athletic ability, it’s not crazy hair, it’s not the most obnoxious. But there’s something that’s giving star power.

In 2015, Chelsea Green was part of Tough Enough, WWE’s reality show aimed at finding the next WWE Superstar. She did not win that competition but was signed by the company in 2018 after a tryout. After a successful spell on NXT, her run turned disastrous after just one match on the WWE main roster in November 2020. Green broke her wrist during that bout, and she was released by the company in April 2021 without competing in another match.

A change of management saw Chelsea Green brought back to WWE in January 2023 at that year’s Royal Rumble. Green has since won the WWE Women’s Tag Team Title in addition to becoming the first-ever WWE Women’s United States Champion.
