How The Undertaker Has Helped Current WWE Star
The Undertaker has been a big help to Aleister Black.
Aleister Black returned to WWE on the April 25, 2025, episode of SmackDown, which was held in Fort Worth, Texas. He made his comeback after nearly four years away, following his departure in 2021 to wrestle as Malakai Black in AEW.
The reason for his return was a combination of dissatisfaction with his direction in AEW and the promise of creative freedom under Triple H’s leadership in WWE, as well as the opportunity to work alongside his wife, Zelina Vega, who was also moved to SmackDown.
Currently, Aleister Black is feuding with Damian Priest on SmackDown. Their rivalry featured a dramatic Last Man Standing Match on October 10, 2025, where Black used a fireball, helped by Zelina Vega, to defeat Priest.
That said, The Undertaker has been a key influence on Aleister Black, helping him both on and off-screen. Most notably, The Undertaker saved Black twice from AJ Styles during major matches, including the Elimination Chamber and Money in the Bank back in 2020.
The Undertaker Taught “Bunch of Stuff” to Aleister Black
WWE’s Aleister Black and Zelina Vega had an interview with Robbie and Carly ahead of SmackDown in Perth, where Black revealed how much Undertaker has helped him, not only on TV but behind the scenes as well. He also credited other wrestling legends like Triple H, Paul Heyman, William Regal and more for being his mentors in WWE.
“Terry Taylor, William Regal, Robbie Brookside, Hunter himself. Undertaker is someone who obviously, you know, he graciously took, you know, time to like, sit me down and talk to me about a bunch of stuff and kind of give me his perspective on certain things. But to be honest, there are so many great minds, even like Paul Heyman. Obviously, Paul was always a big proponent of me and still is and will give me great feedback, and yeah, I’m very thankful for these gentlemen to be in my corner the way that they are and believe in me.”
