How Liv Morgan Really Feels About WWE Love Triangle

Dominik Mysterio and Liv Morgan

Liv Morgan has given her honest thoughts about her love triangle with Dominik Mysterio and Rhea Ripley.

Liv Morgan’s rivalry with Rhea Ripley began back in 2023 when Ripley attacked Morgan on Raw with a steel chair, leading to a shoulder injury that left the star out of action for six months. After returning at the 2024 Royal Rumble, Morgan embarked on a “revenge tour” that saw her going after Ripley and the Women’s World Championship.

This culminated in Morgan winning the title at SummerSlam after Dominik Mysterio shockingly turned on Ripley, starting a relationship with Morgan instead.

Speaking about the rivalry in the New York Post, Morgan said it was interesting to see how the two characters had swapped paths.

“Yeah, it’s been interesting due to my past with Rhea, literally as she breaks my shoulder and I have rotator cuff surgery and labrum repair surgery and bicep repair surgery. She ascends to this level of superstardom and here I am at home watching her and I absolutely hate it.

“So I devise this whole Liv Morgan revenge tour as I’m watching my opposition, Rhea Ripley ascend into superstardom. So it’s interesting to be on the other side of that and to be building my superstardom in my own right. But man, I mean, it’s going to feel so good to absolutely crush her at Bad Blood.”

Morgan went on to explain that she is happy to have been able to bring in the love triangle storyline and using it to further she and Ripley’s feud over the title.

“Yeah, I think it’s cool to know and show that we can do both, you know, yes, I can be the women’s champion and have a story centered around my championship, but also bring in these elements and these elements that a lot of people growing up watching WWE loved.

“They loved the romance. They love the messiness, love the love triangles. Like who doesn’t love a good love story? So to be able to bring those two together, I think has been cool because it’s usually one or the other, you know, so to have a story that actually, you know, maybe isn’t so centered on the championship is special in its own way as well.”

The next chapter in the rivalry will happen at WWE Bad Blood, with Liv Morgan set to defend the Women’s World Championship against Rhea Ripley with Dominik Mysterio suspended above the ring in a shark cage.

Liv Morgan Sad To See WWE Live Events Being Cut Back

During the same interview, Liv Morgan explained why she is sad to see WWE cutting down on non-televised live events. While she admits the extra time at home will be nice, she thinks the move gives newer wrestlers fewer opportunities to gain experience in the ring in front of an audience.
