How Eddie Guerrero Helped WWE Hall Of Famer Through Their Divorce
WWE Hall of Famer JBL shared a moving story about the late Eddie Guerrero’s incredible empathy and support during one of the toughest times in his life.
Speaking on the Something To Wrestle podcast, JBL recalled how Guerrero became a trusted confidant while he privately dealt with the emotional strain of his divorce.
I’m a pretty private person as far as my home life goes. I didn’t tell anybody that I was going through a divorce, I didn’t tell anybody, and I’m sitting there, and Eddie goes, ‘I need to talk to you.’
While touring in Canada, Guerrero sensed something was troubling his friend and insisted on addressing it. Over lunch, Guerrero encouraged Bradshaw to open up, offering his unwavering support and understanding.
And finally, he beat it out of me, and I told him, he sat there and talked to me for hours about it. He was there for every single person, never bitched about his own life.
The story offers a glimpse into the personal side of Eddie Guerrero, who was as renowned for his compassion off-screen as he was for his electrifying performances in the ring.
