How Dominik Mysterio Shockingly Retained WWE Title On Raw

Dominik Mysterio shocked everyone with just how he managed to escape Australia with his WWE Intercontinental Championship.

Dominik Mysterio has been living a charmed life in WWE lately as Intercontinental Champion, and recently added the AAA Mega Championship to his trophy cabinet.

Mysterio somehow escaped with his Intercontinental Title when he put his gold on the line against Rusev recently. But in Perth, Australia, it was Mysterio’s old rival, Penta, who had his chance to claim his first gold in WWE.

Dominik Mysterio Lies, Cheats & Steals

On the October 13th edition of Raw, the Aussie crowd firmly got behind Dirty Dom in his quest to keep his title around his waist despite the constant onslaught from WWE’s very own Smooth Criminal.

Penta got the best of the early exchange between the two men before Dominik Mysterio took control of the match and forced the Mexican star to fight on the ground. Things looked to have gone wrong for the champion when he missed a 619 and barely kicked out of a Penta Driver.

Rusev then made his way to ringside but suffered a plancha from Penta, who floored the Bulgarian Brute. That allowed Mysterio to steal the timekeeper’s hammer and hit Penta in the knee before hiding the hammer in his boot, hitting a 619 and a frog splash to retain his gold.
