Hiroshi Tanahashi Saves AEW Stars At Double Or Nothing
Double Or Nothing saw a major shock as NJPW President Hiroshi Tanahashi came to the rescue of three AEW stars.
Double Or Nothing proved to be a wild night of AEW action with Hangman Adam Page booking his AEW World Championship shot at All In Texas by winning the Men’s Owen Hart Foundation Tournament. Mercedes Mone won the Women’s Owen Hart Foundation Tournament to earn her very first shot at the AEW Women’s World Title.
Anarchy In The Arena saw Swerve Strickland’s team come out on top as the Death Riders and The Young Bucks tasted defeat in a wild bout. But there was still room for more surprises as AEW stars were joined by an NJPW legend to take the fight to one hated faction.
The Don Callis Family have only grown stronger in recent weeks, with RPG Vice reforming and Rocky Romero joining the group. That came after Josh Alexander immediately aligned with Callis after he made his AEW debut.
Hiroshi Tanahashi Fights Off Don Callis Family
At Double Or Nothing, The Don Callis Family defeated The Paragon’s trio of Adam Cole, Kyle O’Reilly, and Roderick Strong. However, Callis wasn’t done there as his family continued the assault. That brought out Tomohiro Ishii and Brody King before Hiroshi Tanahashi shocked everyone to even the sides and fight off The Family to the delight of the crowd.
