“He’s Done” – CM Punk Tipped To Retire From WWE
WWE World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk just turned 47 in October.
After almost a decade away from the Stamford-based company, The Second City Saint returned to the promotion two years ago. He has since become one of the top attractions on Monday Night RAW.
Following Seth Rollins’ injury during his match against Cody Rhodes at Crown Jewel, which forced him to vacate the World Heavyweight Championship, Triple H and his creative team put the title on Punk. He has yet to defend it in nearly two months.
The World Heavyweight Champion is set to put his title on the line for the first time next Monday on RAW against The Vision’s Bron Breakker.
WWE Hall Of Famer Thinks CM Punk Should End His In-Ring Career
Speaking on his Kliq This podcast, WWE Hall of Famer Kevin Nash criticized Punk’s physique while addressing the main event of last week’s RAW, where The Second City Saint teamed up with Rey Mysterio against The Vision.
The former WWE Champion also claimed Punk’s punches looked really slow, suggesting that the 47-year-old should retire.
I watched Punk in the main event of that match last Monday, the tag team match. Number one, if you’re the WWE Heavyweight Champion and you wrestle in a t-shirt, ouch. Number two, his punches looked really slow. He looked slow. I think it’s time for him. I think he’s done. [0:21 onwards]
