He’s Back!!! Randy Orton Shockingly Returns To SmackDown; Destroys Ex-WWE Champion

WWE kicks off the new year in style with the first episode of SmackDown for the year, emanating live from the KeyBank Center in Buffalo, New York. It is the only edition of SmackDown to be hosted in the US before this month’s Royal Rumble.

This week’s episode marks the beginning of the blue brand’s return to a three-hour format, and a big night has already been scheduled for tonight, with a huge Ambulance Match between Damian Priest and Aleister Black yet to come.

Tonight’s episode opened with The Miz going on a rant about being disrespected over the last few weeks, as he hadn’t been given a match with John Cena on his retirement tour, and was humiliated by Joe Hendry a couple of times.

The Miz was interrupted by Randy Orton on WWE SmackDown

The A-Lister was talking about how he is the face of WWE now that John Cena is retired, but was interrupted by a returning Randy Orton, who came out to the ring to a huge cheer from the Buffalo crowd.

He celebrated the moment with the fans for a while before Miz tried to team together with Orton under the name, MizKO, only to be met by not one, but two RKO’s from the Viper.
