Heat On Both Tiffany Stratton & Charlotte Flair As Promo Fallout Continues

More details regarding the issues between Charlotte Flair and Tiffany Stratton have come to light.

At WrestleMania 41, Tiffany Stratton will defend the Women’s Championship against Charlotte Flair, but the actual match is the last thing people are talking about.

On the April 4 edition of SmackDown, Charlotte Flair and Tiffany Stratton went off script as their promo segment got a little too personal.

The Chicago crowd was quick to make their feelings known, and Flair appeared to lose control as they took over. The pair then began trading increasingly personal insults that were clearly not in the script.

This saw Flair mock Stratton’s voice, and in closing, Stratton took a shot at Flair over her recent divorce from Andrade and abruptly left the ring. As Stratton left, Flair tried to get even, firing back “Hey Tiffany, is that why Kaiser is in my DMs?” referencing her real-life relationship with Ludwig Kaiser.

Charlotte Flair Went Off Script First

As the search for more details continues, Bryan Alvarez gave an update on Wrestling Observer Live. He noted that Flair was the first person to deviate from the script throwing in the “Nepo Queen” line. He added that her subsequent mocking of Stratton’s voice was “absolutely not in the script.”

For Stratton’s part, Alvarez suggested the reference to divorce was in the script, but saying Flair was “0-3” wasn’t. The Champion dropping the mic and rolling out of the ring was also spur of the moment, and Alverez highlighted that Wade Barrett went to step between the two women as he realised things had “gone totally off the rails.”

A further report from Fightful Select added that after Flair ridiculed Stratton’s voice there was a feeling backstage that she needed to “fight back.” However, getting so personal was felt to be “ill-advised.”

Fightful suggested the line about Flair’s marriage wasn’t cleared, and neither was the comment about Kaiser. Flair addressing the crowd turning on the segment also wasn’t planned but described as “run of the mill ad-libbing that would never get anyone any heat.”

The reaction backstage as the segment played out moved from confusion to “oh sh*t” as things got increasingly personal. Internally, the segment was called a “wreck.”

Both reports confirmed there was heat on Stratton and Flair following the segment, with Alvarez suggesting more focus was on Flair given she’s the veteran and the one expected to keep things on track.

Since his name drop, Ludwig Kaiser has had some fun with the situation on social media, making light of the chaos. Fightful noted that many at Raw got a laugh out of the star being such a good sport about things.
