Hating CM Punk Is A Family Affair For WWE Star

CM Punk might need some backup.

Seth Rollins’ hatred for CM Punk has become the stuff of legend in recent years. Rollins rarely misses an opportunity to take a shot at Punk, whether on WWE television or not.

During an appearance as a guest on Up & Adams, a fan asked whether Rollins would team with Punk if it meant his beloved Chicago Bears could win the Super Bowl. Despite his desperation to see the Bears find success, Rollins said teaming with Punk would “hurt me inside too much.”

“Would I do it? Would I do it? Oh God, it makes my stomach churn just to think about it. For one Super Bowl? Oh God… I don’t think I could do it, I don’t think I could stand next to him. I really don’t think I could do it, I just don’t think I could it. I’d just suffer in misery every season. Get me to the NFC title game. I don’t think I could do it. I have to say no. Sorry, I couldn’t do it. It hurts me inside too much.”

Seth Rollins’ Daughter Already Has Beef With CM Punk

Adams continued to joke about Rollins and Punk teaming together, telling the former to imagine the parade in Chicago if the Bears won the Super Bowl. However, Rollins was having none of it.

The former World Champion said he wouldn’t be able to look his daughter in the eye after teaming with Punk, quipping that the only person who hates his rival more than him is his wife, Becky Lynch.

“I would have to go home and look my daughter in the face and tell her that I was a coward, and I couldn’t do it. I couldn’t do that to my daughter, I couldn’t do that to my family. My wife would disown me. I don’t know that I’d ever sleep in the bed again. I’d get kicked to the curb,” he said.

“If there’s one person that hates CM Punk more than me, it’d be ‘The Man’ Becky Lynch. It’s a full family affair. My daughter is into listening to wrestling entrance themes and she won’t listen to CM Punk’s.”

Punk was most recently in action on the June 2 edition of Raw, where he took on AJ Styles and El Grande Americano in an attempt to qualify for Money In The Bank. However, Punk was taken out by Rollins’s teammates, Bronson Reed and Bron Breakker, leaving the way clear for El Grande Americano to grab the win.
