Broken Matt Hardy WWE

Matt Hardy has clarified his current contractual status after a surprise appearance at TNA Rebellion.

The popular 49 year-old is once again a sought after free agent following the expiration of his deal with AEW in early April. The former ECW Champion spent four years with the company after amicably parting ways with WWE in March 2020.

Hardy had recently revealed that he was considering new terms offered by AEW, however had not yet committed due to considerations regarding his creative direction.

The North Carolina native made a shock return at TNA Rebellion on 20th April, attacking TNA World Champion Moose after he successfully defended his title against Nic Nemeth in the main event at Las Vegas’ Palms Casino Resort.

Despite the popular return, Hardy has since confirmed that he has not signed full-time terms with the company. The former TNA World Tag Team Champion was asked if he had inked a deal by a fan on social media site X, but quickly responded to clarify his future, confirming that he remained a free agent:

“No. I’m a free agent. I will appear when I want to appear.”
