“Hangman” Adam Page Has Surpassed Expectations In AEW

“Hangman Adam Page” has become one of the biggest names in wrestling.

At All In, “Hangman” Adam Page scored an emotional victory in the main event as he overcame Jon Moxley. With victory, Page also secured the AEW World Championship for the second time.

During a wild Texas Death Match, there were run-ins galore with the entirety of the Death Riders, Will Ospreay, the Young Bucks, Swerve Strickland, and even Bryan Danielson got involved.

But when all was said and done, it was Page who emerged victorious, capping off a two-year struggle to the back of the company.

Adam Page Has Taken AEW By Storm

During a new interview with Justin Barrasso for Undisputed, the Young Bucks reflected on Page winning the World Championship for the second time. Matt Jackson described being involved in the match as a “privilege,” adding that he had to put his hand over his mouth to hide a smile in the final stages.

“It’s not lost on me how cool it has been to be part of so many of his big moments. Being involved in the main event also gave me the privilege to prop myself up on a guardrail and watch the finish. I covered my smiling mouth with my hand. So proud.”

Matt added that they knew Page was heading to the top as far back as 2016 when they worked with him on Being The Elite. However, he said that the champion has become bigger than they expected.

“Hangman was young, handsome, and unexposed. And he had the right attitude… he had all the tools, instincts, and talent. He’s become bigger than I ever expected.”

At Forbidden Door, “Hangman” Adam Page is set to defend the AEW World Championship against MJF. The number one contender earned his shot at the gold after winning the men’s Casino Gauntlet Match at All In.

On the August 20 edition of Dynamite in Glasgow, Scotland, FTR will square off against Bandido and Brody King. The winners will go on to challenge the Hurt Syndicate for the World Tag Team Championship at Forbidden Door. Brodido beat the Young Bucks in the semi-finals.
