Hangman Adam Page Reuniting With Ex-Partner As AEW Rivals Swarm

Hangman Adam Page AEW

Hangman Adam Page might be looking to his future after Forbidden Door, but now he’s having to rely on a blast from his past.

At Forbidden Door, Hangman Adam Page successfully defended his AEW World Championship against MJF. MJF had laid down several stipulations for the match, meaning that if Page had been disqualified or counted out, then he’d have lost his title. This meant MJF tried to goad Page at every turn into getting himself DQ’d, but Page would not give in to his scheming challenger and escaped with the gold. However, MJF still has his Casino Gauntlet cash-in contract, but Tony Khan has changed the rules on how that can be cashed in.

With little time to rest in wrestling, the vultures are circling Adam Page, this time led by the weaselly Don Callis. Don Callis has made clear on Dynamite in Philadelphia that he wants the AEW World Championship in his Family; it’s just a case of which member of the group will dethrone him for the gold.

Adam Page & Kenny Omega Reunite On Dynamite

Hechicero, Josh Alexander, Rocky Romero, and Lance Archer surrounded the ring to attack Page, but Speedball Mike Bailey and Kevin Knight came to the champion’s aid. As Romero took out JetSpeed with a baton, Kenny Omega entered the scene to make the save. Omega and Page hit a combo V-Trigger and Buckshot Lariat before they embraced in the ring for the first time in years.

Kenny Omega and Adam Page were the unlikely pairing that became the second team to hold the AEW Tag Team Championship. Their uneasy partnership came at a time when Page found himself with second thoughts about remaining with The Elite as he maintained suspicion over Omega’s friendship with The Young Bucks.
