Hangman Adam Page Makes Huge AEW World Title Promise

Adam Page AEW

“Hangman” Adam Page knows what he will do if he becomes AEW World Champion again.

In the main event of AEW Double or Nothing, “Hangman” Adam Page defeated Will Ospreay in an incredible, nearly 40-minute match to win the Men’s Owen Hart Foundation Tournament.

The reward for that victory is that Hangman will go on to AEW All In Texas on July 12th to challenge Jon Moxley for the AEW World Title.

Adam Page was the fourth man to win the AEW World Title in November 2021, and he went on to hold it for 197 days. Since losing the AEW World Title three years ago, Page’s career has been a tailspin and he did some crazy things, especially in the last two years.

At the post-Double or Nothing press conference, Hangman spoke about the pride of being a homegrown AEW talent.

“It’s a testament that this is successful. I’m not from somewhere else, I wasn’t established somewhere else, I’m homegrown. I’m from here. My story starts here. That is a testament that All Elite Wrestling has been a huge, gigantic success.”

“Hangman” Adam Page Plans To Take AEW World Title Out Of The Briefcase

Since Jon Moxley won the AEW World Title for a record fourth time in October 2024, he has kept it hiding in a briefcase. In Moxley’s opinion, he is the AEW World Championship, and he doesn’t need to show it to people because it belongs to him.

Regarding his plans as the AEW World Champion, Hangman made it clear that he would proudly take the title out of the briefcase it is in.

“I’m so incredibly proud of this company. For so long, the world champion that I’ve had my eyes set on from the very first Double or Nothing has been hidden in a briefcase. It should be a shining light to the world and a testament to what All Elite Wrestling is and what it’s about.

The champion isn’t the person who holds the championship. The championship means so much more than that.

Being the champion is being the champion of everyone on this roster, this entire company, and all the fans that have supported us all these years. To keep it hidden in a briefcase, I’m going to be the one to take it out.”

Hangman challenging Moxley for the AEW World Title is one of two matches already set for All In Texas. The other match that’s official will see “Timeless” Toni Storm defend the AEW Women’s World Title against Mercedes Mone, who won the Women’s Owen Hart Foundation tournament.
