Hall Of Famer Tells WWE Fans To Forget John Cena And Cody Rhodes

John Cena heel promo on WWE Raw

A WWE Hall of Famer has told fans to forget about John Cena and Cody Rhodes.

At WrestleMania 41, John Cena will challenge Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Title as he bids to become World Champion for a record 17th time. Should Cena claim victory, he’ll finally move past Ric Flair on WWE’s all-time list.

The match came together after Cena won the men’s Elimination Chamber match on March 1. However, things were given a whole lot of extra spice when Cena turned heel just moments after the match by attacking Rhodes to align with The Rock.

Since then, the rivalry has dominated wrestling conversation heading into WrestleMania, but one Hall of Famer believes the pair have been surpassed by one unlikely name.

Move Over John Cena

During a new interview with TMZ, Ric Flair talked up his daughter Charlotte and the work she put in to come back from a major knee injury in December 2023. In doing so, he threw some shade at Cena and Rhodes, claiming Charlotte has gone beyond both, and is now clearly the best in the world.

“It was a horrible injury, and it’s hard to do anything on the sidelines when you’re right in the middle of your career. She’s never been hotter, but Undertaker said it best, she came back, and she regained the crown. She’s the greatest female wrestler of all time. She might be the best wrestler in the business right now. Forget about Cena and Cody [Rhodes] and those guys. She’s that good.

She’s on fire, man. Sometimes, it takes a while to find your niche. She’s a heel. She’s like me. She can be a babyface because she can do a lot of stuff, but she’s a heel, man. She’s badass. Now, she’s getting to really feel herself. I’m glad that they’re letting her be who she is. When you’re the best, you can say anything you want to say.”

On a recent episode of his podcast, The Undertaker declared Charlotte Flair “The GOAT” following her return from injury at the Royal Rumble. The Deadman said that her mindset and passion for the industry, mixed with her in-ring skills means she stands at the top of WWE’s women’s division. Although he did concede that Rhea Ripley may disagree.
