A WWE Hall of Famer has a good reason for not liking “Unreal” on Netflix.

The Netflix behind-the-scenes reality show called WWE Unreal will begin its second season on January 20th. Netflix has confirmed there will be five episodes, each about 50 minutes long.

WWE’s first-ever two-night SummerSlam event from last August will be featured heavily. The WWE talent featured in season 2 of Unreal includes Seth Rollins, Becky Lynch, Cody Rhodes, Rhea Ripley, Pat McAfee, Jelly Roll, R-Truth, Iyo Sky, Naomi, Chelsea Green, Penta, and Lyra Valkyria.

In the Netflix trailer, WWE Hall of Famer Paul Heyman is shown early on explaining why he is not a fan of Unreal.

“Sorry to disappoint everyone, but I’m not a fan of this show. I grew up in an era where you defended the secrecy of this business. That’s how we earn our living.”

Given that Paul Heyman has been involved in pro wrestling for over 40 years, it’s easy to understand his perspective on the show’s concept.

What Roman Reigns Said To Paul Heyman During WWE Hall Of Fame Induction

Paul Heyman was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2024 in Philadelphia. The former WWE World Champion Roman Reigns was paired with Heyman for four years from the summer of 2020 to 2024, so it made sense for the Tribal Chief to be the one to induct Heyman into the Hall of Fame that year.

Following the Tribal Chief’s kind words about the Wise Man. Reigns gave his friend a hug and said something to him. While being interviewed by Stephanie McMahon on her “What’s Your Story?” podcast, Heyman revealed what Reigns told him and how Heyman reacted to it.

“The whole thing was really weird because, number one, I’m better at improv. I never try to memorize anything. I didn’t want to memorize anything. I wanted the whole thing from the heart. But I knew the first part would be completely out of character.

And when I went out there and I hugged Roman, and Roman says to me, ‘I can’t wait to hear this.’ And he’s walking away and I’m thinking to myself, ‘Man, are you going to be disappointed.’” (Laughs)
