Hall Of Famer Can See CM Punk Finding His Way Back To WWE
A WWE Hall of Famer wouldn’t be surprised to see CM Punk return to the company.
CM Punk remains a free agent, but not too far from the spotlight. Despite there being no official comment from either side, fan speculation continues to link the star with a shock return to WWE at Survivor Series.
While the thought of Punk back in a WWE ring might seem impossible given the way he left the company in 2014, impossible is nothing. Several high-profile stars who left surrounded by controversy later found their way back, including the likes of Hulk Hogan and the Ultimate Warrior.
Speaking on his Hall of Fame podcast, Booker T said that given this history, he can very well see Punk returning to the company.
“I could see CM Punk wanting to find his way back into the WWE. I could see that. We’re talking about it right now. Also, I’m gonna go out on a limb here. I’m not gonna put it past WWE hiring him back. I don’t know, I can’t say.
But I do know that just about everybody that’s left WWE has come back, no matter what problems they’ve had. Even The Ultimate Warrior, I don’t think anybody thought The Ultimate Warrior would come back,”
Corey Graves Open To CM Punk Return
Announcer Corey Graves also said that he’d be open to CM Punk returning to WWE. Graves and Punk had a very public falling-out despite previously being friends, but that’s seemingly all in the past.
During a recent podcast appearance, Graves said if a Punk comeback makes business sense, he’ll have no complaints.
