Hall Of Famer Tells Fans “Get Over It” Regarding Brock Lesnar’s WWE Return

A WWE Hall of Famer who knows Brock Lesnar very well wants angry wrestling fans to “get over it” as far as The Beast’s return goes.

After two years away, former WWE Champion Brock Lesnar made his surprising return at the end of SummerSlam. When Lesnar shockingly appeared, the crowd went ballistic, he walked around the ring while John Cena stood in it. Lesnar went into the ring, Cena tried to attack, and Lesnar was ready, so Lesnar dropped him with an F5 like he’s done many times before.

The reason Lesnar was away from WWE for two years is that he was mentioned several times in Janel Grant’s sexual harassment and sex trafficking lawsuit against former CEO Vince McMahon. Although Lesnar was not listed as a defendant and has not been charged, he was mentioned several times because McMahon attempted to use Grant to secure a new contract for Lesnar while Vince was running the company.

Following Lesnar’s return, it was reported that WWE’s legal team cleared Lesnar to make a return to the company, and the creative team decided to bring him back. It was added that clearing Lesnar was a business decision and doesn’t represent a legal exoneration.

WWE Hall of Famer Paul Heyman has been associated with Brock Lesnar both on and off-screen since 2002, when Brock was a rookie on WWE TV, winning his first WWE Title within five months of appearing on television. During an appearance on The Ariel Helwani Show, Heyman confirmed that he knew about Lesnar’s return after the deal was done.

“That happened real quick. A couple weeks. I mean, at least to my knowledge. I got tagged into it after the deal was done.”

“Get Over It, He’s Here” – Paul Heyman On Brock Lesnar

Paul Heyman continued talking about Brock Lesnar’s return by making the point that nobody is perfect, everybody has skeletons in their closet and that people should just get over it as far as Lesnar’s return goes.

“Everything in life is met with criticism, I don’t pay attention to that. I don’t pay attention to it. He’s here. That’s the reality of the fact. He’s here and if you were in MetLife Stadium on Sunday, you would understand that return meant a lot. That audience was jacked to see Brock Lesnar come out and to see him F-5 John Cena. People were just going f**king nuts. That’s our paying audience, they’re happy to see him.

I’m happy to be a part of a team that presents him. Everyone has criticism in life. There are people that criticize Jesus. There are people that criticize Moses. There are people that criticize Muhammad. There are people that criticize God or Gods. There is no president that has ever existed with a 100% approval rating. There is no president that has ever existed with someone pointing to and saying, ‘That president sucks.’

There are people to this day that think that Abraham Lincoln sucked. They’re wrong, but they think it. There are people who thought FDR sucked. They’re wrong, but they think it. Bill Clinton doesn’t have a 100% approval rating, Donald Trump doesn’t have a 100% approval rating, nobody does. There’s always going to be critics of anything that we do.

Very few people make it to the top in life without making mistakes or having skeletons in their closet.

Obviously, the decision was made, it’s time to bring back Brock Lesnar. Whatever that decision is based on, I respect it. If there are critics of it, get over it, he’s here. He’s going to be here and you ain’t gonna be able to cancel him. I’m happy to have him back because the audience is happy to have him back. If we brought him back and the audience rebelled against it, I wouldn’t be happy to have him back like, oh man, this doesn’t work. But, it works. So I’m happy about it.”

It was also reported that Brock Lesnar’s return has upset some wrestlers in WWE, but not enough to lead to walkouts or similar actions.
