Gunther’s World Title Match Official For WWE Survivor Series
Gunther knew he’d have to put his title on the line against a top WWE star in the near future and now that match has been made official for Survivor Series.
At Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia, Gunther lost out to Cody Rhodes to become the first-ever men’s Crown Jewel Champion in a battle between the WWE Champion and the World Heavyweight Champion.
But with gold still around The Ring General’s waist, there was little time to commiserate as a number one contender’s match featuring four WWE stars was made for Raw on the 4th of November with the winner claiming a shot at Gunther’s title.
Seth Rollins, Sheamus, Dominik Mysterio, and Damian Priest were the four men with a chance to face The Ring General but it was Priest left celebrating as he picked up the win despite Bronson Reed laying out Seth Rollins and Sheamus during the bout.
It had been noted that a potential bout between Gunther and Damian Priest could make WWE history and it’s been confirmed that will now be the case.
Gunther vs. Damian Priest At WWE Survivor Series
On the 11th of November edition of Raw, it was confirmed that Priest will get his shot at the World Heavyweight Championship on November 30th at Survivor Series in Vancouver.
Priest and Gunther came face-to-face on Raw with Priest telling the champion he knows now he’d have held on to his title at SummerSlam if he hadn’t been betrayed by Finn Balor. The exchange led to Ludwig Kaiser attacking Priest and those two men faced off in a match later in the night with Damian Priest picking up the win.
