Gunther Tells WWE Star They Aren’t Fit To Lace His Boots

Gunther cuts a promo on WWE Raw

Gunther is as confident as ever heading into Survivor Series.

Since arriving on the main roster in April 2022, Gunther has established himself as one of the most dominant wrestlers in the entire industry. The star is currently standing tall as the World Heavyweight Champion after setting records with the Intercontinental Title.

At Survivor Series, Gunther will defend the World Championship against the man he beat to claim that title, Damian Priest.

During their most recent face-to-face on Raw, Priest appeared to get inside the head of the champion, telling him he’s not the man he was since beating him at SummerSlam, pointing to his recent defeat to Cody Rhodes at Crown Jewel.

Seemingly without a comeback, the Austrian left, leaving Ludwig Kaiser to handle Priest.

Gunther Fires Another Shot At Damian Priest

During an appearance on the Johnjay & Rich Show, the dominant champion addressed claims he’d been shaken by what Priest said on Raw. The star said his reaction was simple, he’s not used to losing, unlike his rival.

“I don’t know if he can relate because he loses a little bit more than I do, I never really lose. When I lose, sometimes it can be a struggle. It happens to the best, obviously. That’s my struggle and I have to figure it out. If he wants to use that against me, I don’t blame him. If I’m at my best, he can’t lace my boots,

In an interesting piece of trivia, Gunther and Damian Priest will step into the ring at Survivor Series. The bout will make the first time the same World Title match takes place at Survivor Series and SummerSlam in the same year.

The two events have been a constant presence on the WWE calendar since 1988.
