However, even if he had to lose, no one expected it to be a tap-out. When The Champ tapped out, fans and other superstars were left furious and shocked.

Gunther’s shocking yet calm message for the WWE fans

Recently, the former World Heavyweight Champion sat for an interview with TMZ’s Inside The Ring. He broke his silence about defeating John Cena, what it meant to him, the treatment he received from the fans and others afterwards, etc.

During the interview, he was asked if he had any message for the fans as a type of closure. To this, Gunther told the fans to stop crying and understand that life goes on.

Stop crying. Okay? Life goes on.

While it’s insensitive to the fans, The Ring General is staying in his heel persona. He defeated the biggest babyface in WWE and the wrestling industry, and it does not get bigger than that.

His next target will be more legends, and he will begin with AJ Styles next. WWE has already teased a feud between them.
