Gunther Laughs Off WWE Star’s Unlikely Title Challenge

Gunther is not losing any sleep over perhaps the most unlikely contender to his World Heavyweight Champion possibly emerging on WWE Raw.

The Judgment Day screwed over Damian Priest allowing Gunther to win the World Heavyweight Championship at SummerSlam. While Priest had been dealing with The Judgment Day and Finn Balor following that, he now has his sights set on reclaiming his gold.

On Raw in Philadelphia, Priest confronted Gunther and vowed to reclaim his gold but The Judgment Day might have other plans. The group were seen on Raw with Finn Balor unhappy that Priest was reasserting his claim for the title when Dominik Mysterio suggested he could be the one to beat Gunther for the gold. That prompted laughter from Carlito who was scolded by Liv Morgan. Then when questioned just what he did, Carlito claimed to be The Judgment Day’s fixer and went off to fix things for Dirty Dom.

However, Adam Pearce had the same response as Carlito when it was suggested to him that Mysterio should be given a title match. Instead, Pearce offered Dominik Mysterio a match against an unnamed former world champion and should he win that, he’d be put in a number one contender’s match for Gunther’s title.

However, should Mysterio manage to jump through those hoops and find himself in a match with Gunther, The Ring General is not concerned.

Gunther Not Afraid Of Dominik Mysterio

Gunther took to social media to share clips from the last time he shared the ring with Mysterio on Raw where he chopped The Judgment Day star to pieces.

Before any potential match with Dominik Mysterio, Gunther’s focus is on Cody Rhodes who he will face for the inaugural Crown Jewel Championship in Saudi Arabia on November 2nd.
