Gunther Claims John Cena Had Ideal Ending To WWE Career

John Cena gunther Tap Out

Fans are having trouble accepting that John Cena’s final match is done, and it’s even more difficult considering The Champ tapped out in his final match.

Gunther made The Champ tap out in the final match at Saturday Night’s Main Event, and fans have been raising questions about whether that was the correct send-off or not.

Now that he has retired, Never Seen 17 will never return to the WWE ring for another match. Furthermore, WWE does not want to ask him to return for another match.

Gunther gives his opinion on John Cena’s return

The Ring General appeared for an interview with TMZ’s Inside The Ring. He was asked about his feelings towards John Cena’s retirement. Gunther claimed that it was an ideal send-off for someone who has been able to retire on his own terms.

I guess yeah, for him personally, I mean, it’s a, just objectively, it was like a picture-perfect ending for a career. I mean, the guy was on top, for how long did he do it? Like 25 years or something. And yeah, now he called it quits. Um had his own decision, more or less to be okay, that’s my tour, and he’s retiring now. Yeah. A made man. Um, set up for life.

I think that’s the ideal outcome you would wish for every wrestler when they end their career. So I don’t know what everybody’s crying about, actually, to be honest, because uh I don’t know, it’s the ultimate achievable outcome I think. So, people need to learn to live with that a little bit. I don’t think it was a sad occasion. Life goes on.
