Gunther made John Cena tap out in his final match, and the WWE Universe is extremely unhappy with that.

The Champ needed the heroic send-off while passing the torch to The Ring General. Unfortunately, it seemed that John Cena was booked to end his career in the worst way possible.

Currently, fans have debated over whether or not there will be a second match between the superstars, but WWE and John Cena have claimed that he is done for good, and even the company will not ask him to come back for another match.

Gunther reveals his true feelings about retiring John Cena

Recently, the former World Heavyweight Champion spoke on TMZ’s Inside The Ring. He was asked about how he felt about retiring Never Seen 17. To that, he responded by claiming that he put in 20 years of hard work as a wrestler to prepare for this moment, and now it just fits.

It feels very good. You just mentioned 20 years, funny enough, in November, I had my 20-year anniversary as a wrestler. So I can claim I prepared all those 20 years to make John Cena tap out. Fits into each other.

Gunther’s next feud is yet to reveal itself, but it might be with AJ Styles based on a parking lot interaction the duo had.
