Gunther Makes Chilling Promise To Jey Uso Ahead Of WWE RAW
Gunther is determined to win the World Heavyweight Championship.
Gunther will face Jey Uso for the World Heavyweight Championship on WWE RAW. Ahead of their clash, the former champion took to his Instagram handle to send a message to Uso and the WWE Universe.
The 37-year-old lost his World Heavyweight Championship to Jey Uso at WrestleMania 41 earlier this year. The former Bloodline member earned his shot at Gunther’s title by winning the Royal Rumble. The Ring General didn’t think of Uso as a worthy opponent at the time. Gunther undermining his challenger only made Uso’s ferocity grow.

At WrestleMania 41, the former Emporium leader tapped out to Jey Uso, sending the WWE Universe berserk. Since then, he hasn’t received his rematch for the title, while The Yeet Master has defended his title against Logan Paul and Seth Rollins. On this week’s episode of WWE RAW, Gunther plans to right the wrong and win back the World Heavyweight Title. He took to his Instagram handle to send out a chilling promise ahead of the Title Match.
“Let them cheer. I’ll bring silence.”
Why Was Gunther Suspended From WWE RAW?
The former World Heavyweight Champion tapping out to a Sleeper Hold came as a shock to many. He was met with “you tapped out” chants on WWE RAW after WrestleMania. The drama escalated when a visibly frustrated Gunther stormed ringside and released his frustration on Michael Cole and Pat McAfee. After shouting at the duo, The Ring General crossed a line when he locked Cole in a Sleeper Hold.
McAfee quickly stepped in to protect his colleague, landing a punch on the former champion. The strike only fueled his rage, leading him to attack McAfee as well. The disturbing scene only ended after officials rushed to intervene.
WWE RAW General Manager, Adam Pearce, took swift action. In a post on social media, he announced Gunther’s indefinite suspension, citing his violent outburst as unacceptable conduct.
