Gunther Breaks Silence On Potentially Clashing With John Cena
Gunther hasn’t faced John Cena since the time The Champ started his retirement tour.
However, it is popularly believed that The Ring General vs. The Leader of Cenation will be a power-packed match.
In fact, it is possible that the global juggernaut might be planning Gunther as John Cena’s final match sometime in mid-December, but nothing is set in stone yet.
Gunther would love to face John Cena
There is rarely a superstar on the roster who does not want to be in the ring with The Champ before he retires. However, he has less than 15 dates left, and even fewer matches since not all dates are scheduled for in-ring action.
While speaking to Radio Times, the World Heavyweight Champion revealed that he would love to face John Cena before he hangs up the boots.
Obviously, I have not interacted with him or seen him much because he’s on SmackDown mostly, but who knows, there’s still a long time left, so maybe there’s a chance to get in there with him before he hangs it up.
Both Gunther and Cena have been booked for SummerSlam 2025. The Ring General will face CM Punk with the World Heavyweight Championship on the line, whereas Cena will face Cody Rhodes with the Undisputed WWE Championship on the line.
