Gunther Beats WWE’s Next Big Star After Retiring John Cena
Gunther has been on everyone’s mind, and for the wrong reasons, but also the right reasons.
John Cena passed the torch to The Ring General, but he did so by tapping out. This sparked fury in fans, who are now directing it towards The Ring General.
The boos aren’t stopping, and the former World Heavyweight Champion is enjoying every bit of it.
Gunther is on a winning streak
The victory against John Cena pushed The Ring General to a new level. He seems to be receiving the push he needed after WWE made him look weak by having Sami Zayn defeat him.
At WWE’s live show in Baltimore, Gunther went up against WWE’s rising star Je’Von Evans. The Ring General secured the victory in that match and found his winning streak back.

The back-to-back wins against the two big stars have allowed him to re-establish his dominance on the roster once again.
WWE has yet to reveal Gunther’s next opponent. However, certain hints have indicated that Gunther’s next feud will be against AJ Styles. This sparked conversations around whether he will retire The Phenomenal One as well, considering Styles has revealed that he will retire sometime in 2026.
