Goldberg’s Son Refuses To Rule Out WWE Career
The son of WWE Hall Of Famer Goldberg could yet become a second generation Superstar.
Gage Goldberg has featured multiple times on WWE television since his Father’s return to the company in late 2016, including being choked out by Bobby Lashley in a memorable angle at SummerSlam 2021.
The 18 year-old is currently featuring as a linebacker for the Colorado Buffaloes football team whilst attending the University of Colorado Boulder and admits that football is his first love.
Speaking during a recent chat with Sportskeeda’s Bill Apter, the 6ft tall prospect refused to rule out a future in professional wrestling, however, should an NFL career not materialise:
“I mean yes and no for sure. Wrestling would be cool and being amped up and everything and having all the adrenaline, but then also I know my place right now is with football.
So, I’m gonna live this out, I’ll see where that takes me. If it doesn’t work out, could be wrestling I don’t know. It’s a back-up plan.”
Goldberg Eyes Huge Retirement Bout
Gage Goldberg’s most recent WWE appearance came on 4th October at WWE Bad Blood.. The youngster was enjoying the event sat ringside with his Father before the senior Goldberg became irate following an unprovoked verbal attack from World Heavyweight Champion, Gunther.
The legendary 57 year-old Superstar had to be restrained by security as he tried to attack the cocky Austrian and could well be set for a huge Premium Live Event bout with ‘The Ring General’ in the near future.
Goldberg recently declared that he will have one final WWE bout in the coming months, with Gunther insisting he would be happy to teach the returning veteran a lesson.
