Goldberg’s Son Details Conversation With WWE CCO Triple H

Gage Goldberg and Goldberg

Goldberg’s son, Gage, was by his side when the veteran retired.

The 58-year-old recently wrestled in his retirement match against World Heavyweight Champion Gunther at Saturday Night’s Main Event XL.

It was one of his longest matches in WWE, lasting 14 minutes and 23 seconds, during which he was choked out after a back-and-forth action.

At one point during the match, Gunther engaged with Gage, who was in the audience supporting his father.

Gage Goldberg recently spoke to Bill Apter, Sportskeeda Wrestling’s Senior Editor, wherein he shared his experience about being at the premium live event.

He also said that he spoke to WWE CCO Triple H. It has been reported that the two have previously had multiple conversations.

Well, I mean, I talked with Logan Paul. I talked with Triple H. The talk with Triple H was great and everything. He was very welcoming. I talked with Bronson Steiner [Bron Breakker]. It’s always great to see him. [3:58 onwards]

During Saturday Night’s Main Event post-show press conference, Triple H said that fans might see another Goldberg in the future, hinting at Gage potentially signing with the company.

Goldberg Prevented His Son From Signing With WWE

Since retiring, Goldberg has had some not-so-nice things to say about how his match was handled by the Stamford-based promotion.

As a result, he has invited criticism from fans and critics.

On a recent chat on the Ariel Helwani Show, he also confessed to stopping his son from signing with WWE.

The reason behind it was, obviously, money.

They tried to give him an NIL (deal) but when I found out how much they were going to give him, I put the brakes on that one. But they would be ignorant if they didn’t have an idea that it could be in his future, he said.

After Goldberg’s recent revelations, whether WWE approaches the 19-year-old to sign with it remains to be seen.
