Goldberg’s Final WWE Moments “The Ultimate Rib”

Goldberg WWE

Goldberg’s wrestling career is now over, but it seems the WWE Hall of Famer thinks his last moments might have been the ultimate rib.

At Saturday Night’s Main Event, Gunther put Goldberg to sleep in their match for the World Heavyweight Championship. It was the WCW icon’s first match in three years and had been billed as the final bout of his career. After the loss, Goldberg was surrounded by friends and family as he gave a farewell address to fans, but this was cut off the TV broadcast as the show came to an abrupt end.

But that’s only one of the reasons Goldberg was unhappy at his WWE swansong.

Goldberg Irate At Being Cut Off On Live TV

Speaking to Ariel Helwani, Goldberg indicated how unhappy he was that he was cut off just seconds into his farewell address, and he doesn’t think it matters if it was WWE’s or the network’s call to pull the plug on him:

I think it doesn’t matter cause it’s live television and you can plan for it. That’s all.

I know it is what it is and the match might have gone long and this or that and whatever it is. But I just think that it could have been a little classier prepared than it was. And I’ll just say, that’s a mild understatement.

It is what it is. I got the opportunity to speak for 28 seconds.

I got an opportunity to have it for 28 seconds. Not many people get that, but it’s just everything throughout the years have built up to something like the ultimate rib. I guess that was the ultimate rib.
