Goldberg Trashes Rihanna’s Halftime Performance – “I Was Disgusted By It”
A lot of people may have liked Rihanna’s Super Bowl halftime performance, but Bill Goldberg clearly was not a fan of it.
During his pro wrestling career over the last 25+ years (with a long break in the middle of it), Bill Goldberg was one of the most popular wrestlers ever. He is a former WCW World Champion who also won the WWE World Heavyweight Championship and a two-time WWE Universal Champion as well.
For the past six-plus years, Goldberg wrestled several top names in WWE including Roman Reigns, Brock Lesnar, Drew McIntyre and Bobby Lashley among others. In 2018, Goldberg was the headline act in the WWE Hall of Fame.
Prior to his pro wrestling career, Goldberg was a very successful college football with the Georgia Bulldogs. He also played in the NFL with the Los Angeles Rams and Atlanta Falcons. When his football days were over, that’s when he turned to pro wrestling and had an incredible 173-0 undefeated streak.
At this year’s Super Bowl 57 in Arizona, the Kansas City Chief beat the Philadelphia Eagles 38-35 to win their second Super Bowl in four years. The halftime performer was Rihanna, who sang songs like “Umbrella, Rude Boy, All Of The Lights, Diamonds” and more.
Apparently, Goldberg wasn’t very impressed by Rihanna’s performance since he explained on the CarCast podcast while talking about car commercials.
“I thought Rihanna was fricken horrible. I was disgusted by it, let’s just say that.”
When co-host Matt “The Motorator” D’Andria thought it was kind of boring, Goldberg reacted to that too.
“That’s the understatement of the year. I thought it was disgusting. I thought it was horrible.”
The hosts praised country music singer Chris Stapleton for his performance of the American national anthem. Goldberg seemed to take a shot at Rihanna with what he said about that too.
“He didn’t grab his crotch every 15 seconds or make it about himself.”
After the show, Rihanna admitted that she was pregnant. We’re guessing that if she has a boy, she probably won’t name him Bill if she sees these comments.
Current WWE superstar/manager MVP seemingly reacted to what Goldberg said.
I've noticed that a lot of the people that find Rhianna offensive or are "disgusted" by her performance at the SB are not at all bothered by a presidential candidate bragging about "grabbing women by the 🐱" or a 1st lady posing nude. 🤔
