Goldberg Makes Surprising Announcement About WWE Retirement Match
Goldberg appears to be planning his WWE retirement match to the most minute detail.
While it is not publicly known when or where the match will take place or against whom, the former World Heavyweight Champion is keen to enter the squared circle.
But he does not plan on doing it alone. Appearing on The Claw podcast, the WWE Hall of Famer gave a special insight into his retirement match.
Just a little tease, there is one thing I can say about my match is that I will be proudly led out by my son.
Judging by how highly Goldberg speaks about his son, it is fair to say that he’s a proud father.
Goldberg’s son, Gage, represents Colorado University in football as a linebacker. Goldberg himself was an American football player in the NFL, representing various teams between 1990 and 1995.
While Gage is currently focused on football, he has set wrestling as his backup career, having previously held talks with Triple H.
Goldberg Wanted His Last Match To Be In Israel
On the same podcast, Goldberg confessed that he wanted to retire from wrestling in his final match in Israel.
I’ll do anything for my faith. Truth be told, my dream was to have my retirement match in Israel. Quite obviously, because of the surroundings right now and over the past five years, it just hasn’t been the right place to do it. I would be remiss if I didn’t tell you that I was sorely disappointed that I couldn’t do something in Israel, but retired doesn’t mean dead.
The former WCW Champion has been injury-free and regularly working out to get back in shape.
