Goldberg May Make Shocking AEW Debut In 2 Weeks
Goldberg could join a list of WWE legends in AEW.
The WWE Hall of Famer recently retired after losing to World Heavyweight Champion Gunther in his final match at Saturday Night’s Main Event.
However, the 58-year-old revealed in an interview with Ariel Helwani that he was not happy with the way he ended his career in the Stamford-based company. Da Man was also frustrated about having only a few seconds to give his retirement speech before the show went off the air.
In that same interview, Goldberg discussed the possibility of returning to the ring, pointing out that he had retired “in principle.” Meanwhile, he did not close the door on a potential comeback to the squared circle.
Will Goldberg Make A Shocking Jump To AEW?
Speaking on the Busted Open podcast, Ariel Helwani addressed his interview with Goldberg, disclosing that he was wondering at one point if the WWE Hall of Famer was working him.
Helwani also did not rule out the possibility of seeing Goldberg debut in AEW in two weeks and claim the Stamford-based company sc*wed.
I will say at one point I was like, ‘Is he working me right now? Is this like, part of the story that he’s upset?’ Maybe he does pop up in two weeks on AEW and say ‘These guys scr*wed me,’ and all that stuff, you know, where workers work, so who knows? I’m not putting that one past them either. [H/T: WrestlingNews.co]
It would be interesting to see if Goldberg would indeed come out of retirement just a few weeks after his final match.
