Goldberg Lands In Another Controversy After WWE Retirement
WWE Hall of Famer Goldberg has found himself embroiled in another controversy following his retirement from the ring.
2025 will best be remembered as the final year of John Cena’s in-ring career, as he will compete in his final match on December 13th’s Saturday Night’s Main Event. A Last Time Is Now tournament is underway with 16 WWE stars getting the chance to be Cena’s final opponent and, as a result of his recent win, the chance to capture the Intercontinental Championship.
But Cena is not the only icon to call it a day in 2025.
Goldberg Leaves Autograph Hunters Disappointed
Goldberg competed in his final match in July when he challenged Gunther for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. The Ring General won that match, bringing the WCW legend’s career to an end.
After the match, Goldberg’s farewell address was cut short by WWE as the show came to an abrupt end. Following his retirement, he spoke about his unhappiness with how his retirement was treated, leading to criticism from some quarters.
Now, he’s been implicated in another controversy as K&S WrestleFest took to social media to claim that Goldberg did not participate in a planned private signing, writing:
Unfortunately Goldberg PRIVATE Signing did not happen. We had all our items laid out ready to sign as Goldberg was doing another Private for another vendor. After he was done, he got up and said he was done…He walked out past our stuff, and left..We are all super disappointed, and frustrated…My apologies to all…
So far, Goldberg has made no public comment as to why he skipped the signing.
