Goldberg Choked Out In WWE Retirement Match

Goldberg Gunther WWE Saturday Night's Main Event

Gunther ended Goldberg’s wrestling career at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event.

The WWE Hall of Famer challenged The Ring General for the World Heavyweight Championship tonight in his hometown of Atlanta, Georgia.

The match saw both superstars exchanging momentum, with Gunther focusing on Goldberg‘s injured left knee. A major moment, however, saw the Hall of Famer accidentally spearing referee Charles Robinson.

While the 58-year-old was down in the ring, Gunther had a brief confrontation with his opponent’s son, Gage. Although the latter jumped the barricade and attempted to get physical with The Ring General, security quickly interfered to stop him.

Goldberg’s Spear And Jackhammer Weren’t Enough To Beat Gunther

Meanwhile, Goldberg speared Gunther as he returned to the ring before delivering a Jackhammer to the champion. Although another referee rushed to the ring to count for the wrestling legend, Gunther kicked out at two.

The Ring General then finally ended the match by choking out Da Man to get the victory. After the match, the WWE Hall of Famer’s family and friends joined him in the ring to celebrate his career as he gave a brief speech.
