Goldberg Jumps Barrier After Gunther Gets Personal At WWE Bad Blood
Gunther met his childhood hero at WWE Bad Blood but things almost turned physical after he questioned Goldberg’s parenting skills.
Bad Blood opened with CM Punk putting his feud with Drew McIntyre to rest inside Hell In A Cell. Both men were bloodied and brutalised in the bout but Punk picked up the victory and will now hope to move on from his personal hatred with McIntyre.
Nia Jax survived Bayley and the unsettling presence of Ms Money In The Bank Tiffany Stratton to retain her WWE Women’s Title before Damian Priest got his revenge for betrayal on Finn Balor and the rest of The Judgment Day.
Triple H then announced a unique new championship in WWE that will be reserved solely for the Crown Jewel shows in Saudi Arabia that will involve the main champions in the company. That brought out World Heavyweight Champion Gunther to have his say on the title before he became preoccupied with one WWE Hall of Famer in attendance in the city where he made his name – Goldberg.
Goldberg Wants A Piece Of Gunther
Gunther had claimed Goldberg was his childhood hero to rile up Bret Hart but to the surprise of very few, he changed his tune when faced with the former WCW World Champion. Instead, Gunther questioned how he could be impressed with a one-trick pony while Triple H stood behind him with a telling smirk on his face.
Gunther then told Goldberg’s son he hoped the WWE Hall of Famer’s parenting skills were better than his in-ring ones. Goldberg didn’t take kindly to that as he hopped the barrier threatening to break out a spear but security held him off.
Sami Zayn took the opportunity to attack Gunther ahead of their World Heavyweight Title match on Raw. Triple H then held up Goldberg’s hand as the Atlanta crowd cheered their hero.
