Glenn Jacobs Admits WWE Merger Came As A Surprise

Triple H Glenn Jacobs WWE

WWE Hall of Famer Glenn Jacobs – better known to wrestling fans as Kane – has had his say on the WWE takeover by Endeavor.

WWE was officially taken over by Endeavor in September 2023 with Vince McMahon’s company being merged with UFC under the banner of the TKO Group as part of the deal.

Vince McMahon has been sidelined by WWE ever since despite many thinking the takeover would solidify his position at the top of the company. Instead, Triple H has taken a grip on the company’s creative direction and is meeting a mostly positive reaction from fans.

Glenn Jacobs Says WWE Takeover A Great Thing For Everybody

Speaking to Bill Apter Glenn Jacobs, the current Mayor of Knox County, Tennessee, had his say on the WWE takeover and while surprised says Vince McMahon always does what’s best for business:

It was surprising to me, too. In the end, Vince always does what’s best for business. So I think, from a big-picture perspective, it’s a great thing for everybody and the benefit for all of our fans, and in the end, that’s what it’s all about.

Jacobs then praised his old rival Triple H and thinks he has the best mind for his role of running the creative side of WWE:

Yeah, man. I’m a huge fan. Triple H has the best wrestling mind of anybody [that I’ve ever known.] So, I’m really looking forward to seeing what the product is moving forward.

Jacobs last competed as Kane in WWE back in 2021 as part of the men’s Royal Rumble match. Kane managed to eliminate Dolph Ziggler and Ricochet in that bout before being thrown out of the ring by Damian Priest.
