Glenn Jacobs has shared his memories of Bray Wyatt.
After forming in NXT, the Wyatt Family made their presence felt by attacking Kane on their Raw debut. Wyatt and the WWE Hall of Famer continued to clash and the pair met in a Ring of Fire match at SummerSlam 2013.
Although the rivals would meet again in the years to come, Wyatt was in the ascendency as Kane — better known as Glenn Jacobs in the world of politics — began to wind down his in-ring career.
Speaking in a new interview with Sportskeeda, Jacobs paid tribute to Wyatt who sadly passed away on August 24th.
“Yeah, that’s tragic. He was just a great guy. You know, backstage Bray was always joking. He was one of those people who never had a bad day. Of course, he had his first big storyline in WWE with Kane accumulating in an Infernal Match at the Staples Center. Just again, just a tremendous performer and it is just very sad.
I mean, that whole Fiend character and everything. I mean, he was, you know, he understood that character and really, you know, when the Wyatt Family was there, you know, and I remember they had the fireflies.
I remember one time I was leaving the arena in Denver and the whole arena was singing along with the entrance and everything. It’s very sad, taken well before his time.”
