Giulia Has Super Fun Despite Crushing NXT Loss
Giulia enjoyed her “super fun” match despite coming out of it as a loser and failing to earn an NXT title shot.
On the May 6 edition of NXT, Giulia had her chance to get a shot at Stephanie Vaquer’s NXT Women’s Championship. However, for her to do that, she’d have to get past Jordynne Grace.
Unfortunately for the Japanese-Italian star, the former TNA Knockouts Champion proved to much of an obstacle with Grace picking up the win. As a result, Jordynne Grace will now challenge Stephanie Vaquer for the NXT Women’s Title at Battleground on May 25.
Despite losing the match, Giulia seemed upbeat when she took to social media to send a message to Grace after their bout:
I smelled a bit of that Japanese fight in you. I lost, but man, that was super fun! Let’s go again anytime. Maybe I come to your house now, huh? @JordynneGrace #WWENXT

Giulia Fails Where Surprise Star Succeeds
The show also offered 25 male stars the chance to face Oba Femi for the NXT Championship at Battleground in a battle royal. Despite a surprise appearance from an ex-WWE star under their new name as well as the inclusion of former NXT Champion Trick Williams, it was Myles Osborne of the No Quarter Catch Crew who shocked everyone and won the match.
