Giulia “Not Done In The US”
NJPW STRONG Women’s Champion Giulia has more to do in the US.
Giulia has become one of the biggest stars in women’s wrestling in Japan over the past few years through her work in Stardom. She added to her accolades on July 5th when she defeated AEW star Willow Nightingale to become NJPW STRONG Women’s Champion.
At Impact Wrestling/NJPW Multiverse United 2 – For Whom The Bell Tolls in Philadelphia, Giulia held onto that title when she overcame the challenge of Momo Kohgo, Gisele Shaw, and Deonna Purrazzo in a four-way match.
Giulia wants challengers from any promotion
Following the win, NJPW posted a video of Giulia’s post-match comments on social media where she indicated that she’s got unfinished business in the United States:
“Wow, seems like the people of Philadelphia love them some Giulia! This place is great. Seriously, I’ve gotta say, I feel so good. I’m proud of myself. Getting here is a pretty big moment for my career. It’s a big deal. I’m proud of this, getting this experience.
“I’m not done in the US, and not done with this title either. Who’s next? Who’s the next challenger? Anyone, any promotion, I’m down. But the STRONG champ only wants strong challengers.”
