Giulia Lays Down Huge WWE Champion vs. Champion Challenge

A huge title vs. title match has been teased for an upcoming WWE PLE as two champions want to prove they are the best.

Giulia made a splash when she finally joined WWE in the summer of 2024. But the former NJPW STRONG Women’s Champion’s arrival was soon somewhat diluted when she was joined in NXT by the woman who defeated her for her NJPW gold, Stephanie Vaquer.

Giulia and Vaquer have stood side-by-side on several occasions since joining WWE including at Halloween Havoc where they defeated the team of Cora Jade and Roxanne Perez. But it seemed that it was only a matter of time before they finally had to face each other in the ring.

The stakes for any potential meeting between Giulia and Vaquer were heightened when Vaquer captured the NXT Women’s North American Championship from Fallon Henley and Giulia won the NXT Women’s Title from Roxanne Perez.

Giulia Wants Stephanie Vaquer In WWE Ring

Now on the February 25 edition of NXT, Vaquer defeated Karmen Petrovic before being later confronted by Giulia who claimed she was the best champion on the brand. Giulia then challenged Vaquer to a champion vs. champion match.

The match was not confirmed on the show but if it were to take place it would likely occur at the upcoming Roadblock PLE on March 11 at The Theater at Madison Square Garden.
