General Manager Calls For Help After WWE Title Shockingly Vacated

Triple H WWE looking at phone

One WWE General Manager has called on fans to help after one champion surprised everyone by vacating their title.

At New Year’s Evil, NXT Champion Oba Femi successfully defended his title against TNA X-Division Champion Leon Slater. However, fans were left in shock as, after the match, Femi laid his title belt down in the ring and simply walked away, indicating that his time as champion was now over.

In the following days, WWE confirmed that the NXT Title is now vacant as Oba Femi looks set to make a huge splash on the WWE main roster.

But where does that leave the NXT Title? The brand’s General Manager, Ava, has asked for help.

Ava Needs Help Over Vacant WWE Title

Taking to social media, perhaps not the wisest place to seek help, Ava asked fans for different ways to decide a new champion:

reply to this with your most unconventional, non traditional wrestling ideas of how to crown the next champion

Suggestions ranged from Lexis King offering to hold onto it while everyone else participated in a tournament, to Jordynne Grace offering up mud sumo wrestling as her idea. Monopoly, lip sync battles, and a spelling bee were also suggested. However, Ava gave some insight into the NXT locker room when she suggested nobody would win a spelling contest.
