Fresh Hint Saraya Could Leave AEW
What does a recent AEW departure mean for Saraya?
Although she signed with AEW in September 2022 after leaving WWE, Saraya’s former employer has never been far from her mind. This, combined with the star currently being on hiatus to work non-wrestling projects, has sent speculation about her future running wild.
In addition, Saraya added further fuel to the fire by admitting she could look to return to WWE when her AEW deal expires in September 2025.
Yeah, I love WWE. I appreciate everybody there, they made me, they gave me my career and I’m just appreciative of that. One day, who knows? I love my time in AEW though. My contract’s up with AEW in September so maybe I’ll stay with them, maybe not, I don’t know.
The British star hasn’t wrestled since featuring on the October 10 edition of Dynamite.
Could Saraya Follow Brother Out Of AEW?
According to a new report from Mike Johnson of PWInsider, the “word making the rounds” is that Zak Knight has left AEW after his contract recently expired. The British star initially signed with the company in February 2024 and was mostly used in Ring of Honor and in dark matches.
Given how vocal Saraya was about trying to get her brother a role in AEW, there’s already been speculation that this could mean she’ll also leave the company.
The news comes after Rey Fenix finally left AEW, having not wrestled for the promotion for several months. Fenix is expected to join WWE as soon as possible, and it’s been claimed that he could even find a spot on the card for WrestleMania 41.
In recent weeks, the likes of Miro, Malakai Black, Ricky Starks (Saints), and Leyla Hirsch have all left AEW.
