A former WWE and TNA tag team is getting back in the ring.

Prestige Wrestling has announced that Cassie Lee and Jessica McKay will be teaming up at their Nothing To Lose Event in Las Vegas on April 17. The pair are being billed as The IInspiration, the name they used in TNA Wrestling.

The duo last appeared in the ring together at Impact Wrestling Countdown to Rebellion 2022. Following the event both women asked to be released from their contracts and they subsequently left the company.

During their wrestling hiatus, Lee gave birth to two sons, Austin, in January 2023 and Harley, in June 2024, while McKay welcomed her first child, Cooper in December 2023.

McKay and Lee both starred on the independent scene before signing with WWE in 2015. Although signed separately, the Aussie pair found success as The IIconics in NXT and later on the main roster, where they won the Women’s Tag Team Titles. They were released in April 2021 but signed with TNA that October.

The match will be McKay’s first since leaving TNA in April 2022. Meanwhile, Lee has been more active, getting back in the ring for a short run with Australian promotion World Series Wrestling in October 2023 between the births of her two children.

Cassie Lee Open To WWE Return

Speaking back in May 2024, Cassie Lee, who was known as Peyton Royce in WWE, said she’d be open to returning to the company. The star said she would love to return at a Royal Rumble to catch up with everyone.

Lee went on to confirm that she and McKay had been approached previously, but they turned the invite down as they still felt hurt by their release.
