Former WWE Tag Team Champion Signs New Deal
Another WWE star has extended their career with the company.
According to a new report from Fightful Select, Cedric Alexander signed a new WWE contract earlier in 2024. There’s little known about the exact details of the deal, only that it’s said to be a “multi-year” agreement.
Alexander joined WWE back in 2016 where he took part in the Cruiserweight Classic, later joining the relaunched Cruiserweight division and eventually becoming Cruiserweight Champion.
Although he moved to the main roster in 2019, it wouldn’t be until joining the Hurt Business in September 202 that he enjoyed his most high-profile run of success to date. During this period he won the Raw Tag Team Titles alongside Shelton Benjamin.
In more recent times Alexander has returned to NXT, although he hasn’t wrestled since beating Brooks Jensen at the Great American Bash in July.
More New WWE Contracts On The Way
The news comes after it was reported that WWE is in talks with a number of new stars regarding new contracts, all of which have deals coming up over the next several months.
Aside from Alexander, it was confirmed on August 2nd that Asuka had signed a new long-term deal with the company. Asuka is currently recovering from knee surgery and isn’t expected back in the ring before the end of the year.
Meanwhile, Kevin Owens has claimed he’s yet to start talks with WWE over a new deal meaning he could become a free agent in early 2025.
