Former WWE Superstar Reveals The Undertaker Started A Fight To Defend Them
Former WWE Tag Team Champion Henry O. Godwinn shared a story from his wrestling career, revealing how an intense locker room confrontation involving The Undertaker led to a fellow wrestler’s dismissal.
In an interview with “Wrestling Shoot Interviews,” Godwinn recounted an incident that occurred during a Battle Royal, where he sustained an injury at the hands of Viscera, known as King Mabel at the time.
Viscera jumped on my back in a Battle Royal and messed my back up.
Godwinn recalled, describing the moment that sparked the altercation. The situation escalated once the wrestlers returned backstage. The Undertaker immediately took action when he learned about the incident.
Taker came in and asked what happened. They told him, and he started taping his hands up, waiting for Viscera to come back, and they had to separate them.
The incident ultimately had significant consequences for Viscera, as Godwinn stated he was released from WWE shortly after the confrontation.
And of course, they let Viscera go a week later.
However, Viscera’s departure was not permanent. He returned to WWE in 1998 and remained with the company until 2008. Unfortunately, Viscera passed away in 2014 at the age of 43, marking a tragic end to his wrestling career.
