Former WWE Superstar Spotted Backstage At AEW Dynamite

Tony Khan AEW Triple H WWE

An ex-WWE star has been spotted at AEW Dynamite.

In 2024 the wrestling world is as wide open as it has been for decades, with companies forging relationships across the board. On one side, AEW continues to have strong ties with the likes of NJPW and STARDOM, while WWE has established relationships with TNA Wrestling and the newly formed Marigold.

The abundance of work opportunities has also created a landscape where wrestlers are jumping between promotions on a scale not seen since the 1990s.

With AEW and WWE dominating the scene in North America, movement between the two companies is only going to become more commonplace.

On that theme, it’s been reported by Fightful Select that former WWE Superstar Mansoor was backstage at AEW Dynamite on May 29th. Mansoor has been a free agent since being released by the sports entertainment giant in September 2023. There’s been no word on the reason behind the visit.

The star, alongside regular tag team partner Mason Madden, recently made a highly-publicised trip to Uganda for SGW while helping to raise money for the promotion.

The report adds that the pair were also recently in attendance at TNA Wrestling tapings having “conversations.”

Ethan Page Makes WWE Debut

The most recent name to jump between AEW and WWE is Ethan Page.

Page left AEW on May 2nd, after initially trying to get out of his contract back in February. Although the star had been a regular on television previously, in more recent months he’d found appearances harder to come by.

Fast forward to May 28th, and Page made his NXT debut, attacking Trick Williams on the same show that saw a shock appearance from TNA Knockouts Champion Jordynne Grace. It’s believed Page and Williams will meet for the NXT Title at Battleground on June 9th.
