Former WWE Star Virgil Dies Aged 61
Mike Jones who was known to wrestling fans around the world as Virgil, Vincent, and Soul Train Jones has sadly passed away.
Virgil made his name as ‘The Million Dollar Man’ Ted DiBiase’s butler in the late eighties in WWE. Doing DiBiase’s bidding, the star ensured his boss could find everybody’s price without having to get his hands dirty himself.
Eventually, that partnership soured as Virgil saw the light and stepped out of DiBiase’s shadow. He became only the second Million Dollar Champion ever when he defeated DiBiase for the belt at SummerSlam in 1991.
Virgil eventually defected to WCW, joining the New World Order where he was known as Vincent. Under his pre-WWE name Soul Train Jones, the star appeared on AEW television, introducing Chris Jericho’s ‘Le Celebration Of Le Champion’ back in 2019.
